Dr. Deidre Bielicka joins Pediatric Orthopedic Associates adding her expertise in Pediatric Congenital and Traumatic Hand and Upper Extremity problems.
Dr. Bielicka graduated with honors from Rutgers University majoring in Cell Biology and Neuroscience. She completed her Orthopedic Residency at RWJUH where she served as both a chief resident and chief administrative resident.
After completing her hand and upper extremity fellowship at the prestigious University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, she went on to complete an additional fellowship in Pediatric Hand and Upper Extremity at the Shriners Hospital for Children in Northern California under the direction of renowned surgeon Dr Michelle James. Dr Bielicka then remained on the faculty at Shriners Hospital prior to returning to New Jersey to join Pediatric Orthopedic Associates.
Dr Bielicka is a candidate member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, the American Society of Surgery of the Hand, and the American Association for Hand Surgery. She adds to her credits many publications and presentations in the field of Pediatric Hand Surgery as well as 2 book chapters in the Fourth edition of Chapman’s Comprehensive Orthopedic Surgery concerning reconstructive upper extremity issues following trauma.
She has also done Volunteer/Mission work with Health Volunteers Overseas in Peru October 2012, Guatemala Healing Hands, April 2015 providing access to care for many indigent Guatemalan children, and Health Volunteers Overseas- Pediatric Hand Surgery Mission to Nicaragua April 2016.
Hobbies include physical fitness, running, and reading.
